About the author

fotografija Milana Belegisanina Milan Belegisanin was born in 1956 in Novi Sad, Serbia. He completed all requirements for a full course of studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Yugoslav literature, in 1978, and in 1980 he got his diploma at the Academy of Arts, Department of theatre, film and television direction, in Novi Sad. He worked as a director in the theatres of Novi Sad, Skopje, Prilep, Sarajevo...

He won many prizes and awards. On the March Festival of documentary and short meter film he was awarded several times:

  • 39th Festival – documentary film SCREAM (gold medal for direction, best scenario)
  • 40th Festival – documentary film WHISPERING OF LIFE (silver medal for direction, TV Novosti Artist- to- artist Award)
  • 51st Festival - ALL GOJKO’S TREASURES (Grand gold medal for best documentary film longer than 30 minutes)
  • 55th Festival – documentary film SWALLOW (gold medallion for best film and ‘Jovan Aćin’ award
  • ‘Slavuj Hadžić’ award of Radio-television of Vojvodina for 2008

Since the first editions were sold out, Horg, Wings and Night of St. Nicolas were reprinted.

During the previous year published trilogy under the title of STONE IN WHEAT contains:

A new book of stories titled “Lina Shash” was published in the beginning of 2010.

For the last 18 months every Saturday at midnight on TV Novi Sad, Belegisanin had his own section of Good-night stories, at the closing of the program called “The taste of night”. He has been employed in the documentary educational program of TV Novi Sad for the last 20 years. He has never been a member of any of the political parties.
